Just a quick update for those who have ordered a copy of the Airscene 2011 Photobook…

You should be receiving your copies in the few days.

Enjoy!

Airscene 2011 Photobook is now available

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

89 entries from the 2011 Calendar Competition now grace the 80 pages of the Airscene 2011 Photobook.

Not everyone who entered could appear in the book, some appear twice and I have even included a few of my favourite entries from those that didnt make the shortlist for one reason or another.

The book is now available for sale at £24.95 (p&p costs £4) and delivery is a fairly reliable 14 days.

Airscene Community Live Chat

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

A new Live Chat feature has now been added to the Airscene toolbar.

Toolbar users need only to click on the chat icon (to the left of the news feed) and the room will open. Once logged in – edit your user name and details and begin chatting to other Airscene members.

Your user ID and details are always remembered (apparently) so no need to remember ID’s and passwords – just log in and see who is chatting at the press of a button.

I would like to thank those who made link suggestions for the toolbar – I have now added Twitter and Flickr. I will of course review any other suggestions which are put forward.

More prizes confirmed for 2011 Calendar Competition

Monday, May 31st, 2010

Great news as this years prize pot passes £600. Ebury Publishing have confirmed 3 copies of the “Boys Book of Airfix” (retailing at £20 each) as runners up prizes in this years Calendar Competition.

Free advertising again for the top 3 places on ANY Uradnet banner network – worth £12.50 each.

This years total prize pot now stands at £605 – with half going to the first prize winner.

I am still expecting to add more prizes during the coming weeks – so keep a look out and remember.. you gotta be in it to win it!

Good Luck, and I look forward to receiving your entries.

Airscene now on Facebook

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

It has been a little while coming, but Airscene is now available on Facebook.

You may already be aware that the Airscene News feed is available in several formats – recently including Twitter. As it has been pointed out that some people do not use RSS Readers, Toolbars, Twitter or even browse the internet that often; it was decided to see if Facebook can help for those who mainly come online for social networking purposes.

The page will receive an automatic feed from Airscene News, and occasional updates relating to Airscene content.

Airscene Twitters

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Airscene News is now available as a twitter feed.

Whilst Airscene News is readily viewable on mobiles and PDA’s using device recognition scripts, some people will prefer the ability to view Airscene News direct from their twitter apps.

As part of an automated process bit.ly is used to shorten the URL’s for the Twitter feed – do not worry about these as they DO link back to Airscene news items.

Updated within the hour direct from Airscene News, this new twitter feed offers another method of keeping up to date with Airshow and Aviation Museum News.
