Local families are invited to the free Community Day celebrations at the RAF Museum Midlands on Sunday 15 November for a full day of entertainment, with live music, dance performances, hands-on activities, and much more!
An African acrobatic circus show and Dhol drumming are just some of the day’s must-see performances, along with Polish, Bangra, and Chinese dancing, all guaranteed to get families up on their feet. The stage line-up also includes rap and R&B performances, inspiring storytelling sessions, with a brass band performance concluding the days live entertainment!
Interactive workshops and family activities ensure there’s hands-on fun for visitors of all ages! Whether you’re taking part in artist-led workshops, getting henna tattoos, or the younger members of the family are enjoying face painting, the Community Day will get the whole family involved.
The event is organised in collaboration with the Telford and Wrekin Interfaith Council to celebrate and welcome local communities to the Museum. In addition to the day’s colourful programme of entertainment, organisations who serve the local community will be in attendance engaging with visitors, along with the Museum’s Community Engagement team.
Entry to the RAF Museum’s Community Day event is free, and families are encouraged to explore the Museum’s unique displays and aircraft collection during their visit.
