Welcome to The Airscene Toolbar
The Airscene toolbar has been created because of a necessity to send numerous updates regarding Airscene competitions. It would be ideal to reduce the number of emails Airscene sends out to an absolute maximum of one per month. By using the toolbar to deliver competition updates we should be able to resume sending out only periodic site updates as before. This is envisaged to be no more than one per month, and perhaps as low as one per quarter. Further features of the toolbar will be explained below:
A look at the toolbar, and how it works:

Features from left to right:
Clicking on this link will open Airscene in the current window.
Clicking on small down arrow will open the main options menu, whereby you will
be able to remove features you dont need or add others that you would like.
Search is powered by Google, so you can enter your search direct in the search
box and the page will change to Google to show you the results. You can also
perform other searches as shown in the list.
The links button provides links to each of the main Airscene categories. Clicking
on the links will open the page in a NEW window. At the bottom of the links
there is a divider bar, underneath which shall be added links of importance
to the community. So if there are any website which you think would be useful
for other member, please email webmaster@airscene.co.uk with
details. All links will be vetted for suitability.
The
ticker bar will be a reflection of Airscene News, showing all current News items.
The
RSS reader currently contains Airscene News and BBC World News (UK) Service.
Airscene News has been set so that as soon as you have read an item, the item
count will reduce by 1. Because BBC deliver such a large number of news items,
only current news will be displayed. If a counter were added here, the item
count could quite easily be in the hundreds if you were not to use your browser
for a week or so.
At a glance weather information for where you live. Click on the weather item
and see a 3 day forecast (extended forecasts also available). You can leave
the forecast set as London if you wish or more locally (your town) whilst in
a forecast window by clicking on 'change location' - once set it stays set.
Like listening to music whilst you are browsing or working? We have included
the internet radio player as default, with music ranging fro classical to rap
and almost every genre in between, you will find this very useful. 12/04/08
- the radio now includes 5 Live ATC links, so you can listen to ATC no matter
where you are on the web.

You may customise the toolbar as much as you need; remove the ticker bar or RSS, add a pop up blocker or Email notification - it really is up to you. Airscene have provided this toolbar in order to provide updates and ease of access to our news items and competitions, it is hoped that you will find this useful.
