The full line-up of world-class aerobatic display teams including none-other than the Daddy of them all \u2013 the Red Arrows; Italy\u2019s flamboyant Frecce Tricolori; the dare-devil Breitling Wingwalkers (yes they walk on the plane wings mid-air!) and our very own, celebrated\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military.ie\/air-corps\/\" target=\"_blank\">Irish Air Corp<\/a><u>s<\/u> has been revealed \u2013 firmly cementing #BrayAirDisplay, supported by main sponsors the Irish Aviation Authority, as one of Europe\u2019s best ever air displays. Featuring 27 jets, 46 aircraft and pilots, 50 support crew and an army of 20 volunteers it will be an aerobatic feast for the senses!<\/p>\n<p>The two-day aviation spectacle, which is also supported by Wicklow County Council and Bray.ie, will kick off at 12noon each day and will feature mind boggling display acts by the following teams:<\/p>\n<p>11 acts will perform on Saturday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> July with a further 5 acts also performing on Sunday 24<sup>th<\/sup> July, bringing the total on Sunday to a whopping 16 high quality participating air display acts.<\/p>\n<p><u>Performing on both Saturday &amp; Sunday:<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Frecce Tricolori:<\/strong>\u00a0The Italian aerobatic display team and one of the most experienced and awe-inspiring display groups. This will be the first time that they will perform at the event and is a huge coup for the organisers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Breitling Wingwalkers:<\/strong>\u00a0 The world\u2019s only formation wingwalking display team and another first for the Bray Air Display. \u2018Wingwalkers\u2019 will perform a dazzling sequence of acrobatic manoeuvres and handstands whilst strapped to the top wings of beautiful Boeing Stearman biplanes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patrouille Tranchant<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0 A Celtic jet team from Brittany, France flying Fouga aircraft &#8211; the first time Fouga aircraft will be displayed in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>British Spitfire\/Seafire:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0First time in Bray as a team. Spitfire is probably the best known fighter plane ever produced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Triggs:<\/strong>\u00a0 Vintage glamour and dynamic close formation flying of two Pitts Special S-1D biplanes<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Irish Air Corps:<\/strong>\u00a0 Approximately 750 men and women serve in the Air Corps which operates 17 fixed wing aircraft and 10 rotary wing aircraft<\/p>\n<p><strong>CityJet\u2019s new SuperJet SSJ100:<\/strong>\u00a0 CityJet\u2019s new passenger aircraft<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Knights:\u00a0 <\/strong>Irish Defence Forces Parachute Team &#8211; the most successful\u00a0<em>parachute<\/em>\u00a0team ever to come out of\u00a0<em>Ireland<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Irish Historic Flight\u00a0Foundation:<\/strong> Commemorates aviation achievements as well as encouraging an interest in Irish aviation. Flying IOLAR and three Chipmunk aircraft<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ravens:<\/strong>\u00a0 A UK based\u00a0formation aerobatic display team formed in May 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Irish\u00a0Coast Guard\u00a0Search and Rescue Demonstration\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>Performing on Sunday only:<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Red Arrows:\u00a0 <\/strong>One of the world\u2019s premier, most celebrated and best known aerobatic display teams &#8211; the centre piece of this summer\u2019s\u00a0display.\u00a0This will be the first time that the Red Arrows will perform at the annual event and the team\u2019s only performance in Ireland this year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Viggen &amp; Draaken: <\/strong>Representing the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/W1Bzcg3hnJ0\" target=\"_blank\">Swedish Air Force Historic Flight<\/a>\u2019\u00a0flying \u2018Viggen\u2019 (first time to be displayed in Bray) and \u2018Draken\u2019 aircraft (first time to be displayed in Ireland).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Blades:<\/strong>\u00a0 A leading display team of former Red Arrow pilots with over 30,000 flying hours and more than 4,000 displays between them. The display act includes over 30 exhilarating manoeuvres<\/p>\n<p><strong>Irish Parachute Club: \u00a0<\/strong>A non-profit organisation dedicated to the training of skydivers<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aer Lingus 321:<\/strong>\u00a0 Aer Lingus\u2019 new passenger aircraft<\/p>\n<p>90,000 people made their way to Bray Promenade for the display last year which has been established as one of the country\u2019s most popular, free, family summer events. And with a line-up like the one confirmed for this year, even more spectators are expected to make their way to the Co. Wicklow seaside town this year to watch aviation antics against a backdrop of beautiful Bray head and the County Wicklow coastline. Those planning to attend are strongly advised to use public transport for a stress-free journey, allow extra time for the trip to Bray and plan to arrive early to fully enjoy the fantastic event.<\/p>\n<p>Se Pardy of Simtech Aviation and Bray Air Display Director, said, \u201cBray Air Display 2016 is set to be our best event yet.
