{"id":3032,"date":"2025-01-23T19:19:46","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T19:19:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/news\/?p=3032"},"modified":"2025-01-23T19:19:46","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T19:19:46","slug":"over-50000-tickets-already-sold-for-this-years-royal-international-air-tattoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/news\/aviation-news-uk\/uk-airshow-news\/over-50000-tickets-already-sold-for-this-years-royal-international-air-tattoo\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 50,000 tickets already sold for this year\u2019s Royal International Air Tattoo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/article-images-25\/RIAT24.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 50,000 people have already secured their spot at this summer\u2019s Royal International Air Tattoo, before the organisers have announced any aircraft displays planned for the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, that is about to change as event organisers reveal they will start announcing attending aircraft early next month, with weekly additions to the line-up being made on their social media accounts each Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aviation showcase takes place at RAF Fairford and sees a plethora of airframes visit the Cotswolds from across the world. This year, the show\u2019s theme is \u2018Eyes in the Skies\u2019, focussing on specialised aircraft used for intelligence, surveillance, maritime patrol, search and rescue, surveying and reconnaissance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head of Air Operations, Peter Reoch and his team are tasked with inviting aircraft to the show and says there will be something for everyone at this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEach year at RIAT we try and showcase a broad spectrum of aviation so there\u2019s something for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year will be no different with plenty of exciting aircraft poised to participate, including rarely seen surveillance aircraft as part of our theme but also all the usual favourites including display teams, fast jets and helicopters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year 168,000 people enjoyed aircraft from almost 30 different nations and with a nearly 20 hours of flying displays over three-day show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets for all three days (Friday 18<sup>th<\/sup>, Saturday 19<sup>th<\/sup> and Sunday 20<sup>th<\/sup> July) are still available, with all under 18s going free as the event aims to inspire young people to reach their potential in air and space through the work of its parent charity, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The action at RIAT isn\u2019t all in the skies, highlight of the ground attractions is the Techno Zone\u00ae, where kids and adults can experience the latest tech in the world of aviation, fulfilling the charity\u2019s mission of inspiring young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSeeing young people engage with aircraft, the pilots and the groundcrew is really rewarding and inspiring future generations is important to us as an event,\u201d he added<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe charity does an incredible job in reaching young people, so if you have a youngster who is curious about aircraft, space, engineering and everything in between, we would love to see them at RAF Fairford this summer.\u201d Tickets are available via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airtattoo.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.airtattoo.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 50,000 people have already secured their spot at this summer\u2019s Royal International Air Tattoo, before the organisers have announced any aircraft displays planned for the show.
