{"id":2012,"date":"2019-09-27T19:21:01","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T19:21:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/news\/?p=2012"},"modified":"2019-09-27T19:22:59","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T19:22:59","slug":"air-tattoo-savings-are-just-the-ticket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/news\/aviation-news-uk\/uk-airshow-news\/air-tattoo-savings-are-just-the-ticket\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Tattoo Savings are Just the Ticket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.airscene.co.uk\/article-images-19\/AirTattoo.jpg\" alt=\"Royal International Air Tattoo\" border=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tickets for next summer\u2019s Royal International Air Tattoo have gone on sale, with special discounts available for a limited period.<\/p>\n<p>The airshow, which this year attracted 245 aircraft and around 170,000 visitors, will turn the spotlight on the world\u2019s fighter pilots and the vital role they perform in protecting national \u2013 and international \u2013 security around the clock and at a moment\u2019s notice.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place at RAF Fairford on July 17-19, 2020, the airshow will once again feature two full show days on the Saturday and Sunday, with more than seven hours\u2019 flying on each day, with a preview highlights day on the Friday featuring a four-hour display.<\/p>\n<p>An Air Tattoo spokesman said: \u201cWith next year marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain it\u2019s an ideal time to focus on the aircraft and pilots whom many consider aviation\u2019s \u2018elite\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friday tickets are currently priced at \u00a344, a saving of \u00a310 on the full advance price; a limited number of Saturday tickets are being made available priced \u00a354, a saving of \u00a35 on the full advance price while Sunday tickets are currently priced \u00a349, offering a saving of \u00a310.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesman said: \u201cTickets for each of the three days of this year\u2019s airshow were priced the same and the feedback we received was that ticket prices for Friday and Sunday should have been cheaper than for the more popular Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to ensuring the flying display programmes on Saturday and Sunday are as similar as possible. Nevertheless, we are keen to encourage people to attend on the Sunday simply because of the overwhelming demand we experience for Saturday which sells out early every year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Multi-day discounts will continue to be offered as will free parking and free entry for all under-18s who attend with an adult ticket holder.
