Brooklands Museum

Brooklands Museum is on the site of the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit and houses collections of cars, motorcycles and bicycles, from the heyday of the track until it closed in 1939.

The Museum displays a wide range of Brooklands-related motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/ BAC-built aircraft, including the Second World War Wellington Bomber, Viking, Varsity, Viscount, Vanguard, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde with public access in South East England.

Brooklands hold a wide range of special events, mainly on weekends and during school holidays.  These include car club visits (often with Test Hill in action), Auto Italia Italian Car Day, The Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival, aviation events and car rides on weekdays during school holidays.

Inside the Balloon Hangar building, we have created a 4D Theatre that provides the closest experience any living person will have of “driving” around the Brooklands Race Track, at Le Mans or “flying” with the Red Arrows. Visitors to the Museum can now take their seats for the ride of their life in a brand new, state-of-the-art 4D Theatre and we have three fantastic rides for you to enjoy.

Re-live the excitement of the supersonic age in our fascinating 35- minute Concorde ‘flight’ where you can see, hear and feel Concorde blast along the runway, soar into the sky and accelerate to Mach 2. The Brooklands Concorde Experience is open every day, booking on arrival is recommended to avoid disappointment.
