Take off to the RAF Museum in London and soar through the history
of the Royal Air Force; from the earliest balloon flights to the
latest Eurofighter jet. We have six hangars where you can see over
80 real aircraft, get hands on with interactives, and learn about
the people and the technology behind flight.
Other
exciting features include a ‘walk through’ Sunderland flying boat,
a ‘touch and try’ Jet Provost, a simulator ride, 4-D theatre, art
gallery and outdoor activity area. It’s the only place where
visitors can test their flying skills, explore RAF stories, sit
inside an iconic cockpit and enjoy a picnic in a single day.
The RAF Museum at London is fully accessible to ensure all
visitors are able to enjoy their day out. We have wide aisles,
enabling access for wheelchairs and pushchairs and we welcome
mobility scooters. We also have lifts to upper levels; seating for
breaks during your visit and two quiet rooms. All our hangars have
accessible toilets and baby changing facilities and in Hangar 2
you will find a Changing Places toilet. Wheelchairs are also
available at Reception on a first come first served basis. Free
Wi-Fi is available across our site.
The Museum shop is
packed with models, toys and gift items as well as exclusive
magazines, books and videos. There is also a café and licensed
restaurant or picnic area to take care of catering needs; and a
themed playground for children.
Access to the site is easy
by bus or train, and there is plenty of onsite parking
The
Museum is a fun, free and fantastic day out for everyone! Pre-book your arrival time online at
