RAF Manston History Museum located in Kent near Ramsgate is a
museum dedicated to the military and commercial history of the
airport from its inception in 1916 until its commercial closure in
2014. The airport played important roles in the first and second
world wars. Exhibits Range from replicas of first world war
biplanes to genuine cold war jets. The museum has an extensive
gallery of photographs covering the duration of the airport’s
existence. Visitors are recommended to allow one and a half to two
hours to fully experience the museum.
We are delighted to announce that phase one of our major
refurbishment works are now complete and we are re-opened. Come
down and see the new exhibits and planes we have been working on
and grab a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the new NAAFI Café
whilst you are here.
